Bishop Eric D. Reynolds

Bishop Eric D. Reynolds is the senior pastor of The House of Prayer Church of Deliverance in Bear, DE. He has presided there for 25 years. Bishop Reynolds is married to his wife, Co-pastor Rella R. Reynolds. They have been blessed with 5 daughters (Erica, Brandy, Chanda, Chanelle and Shekinah).

Bishop Reynolds was called to ministry in 1976, where he received biblical training and studies under Pastor Dwayne Blue of The New Testament Holiness Church in Coleman, Texas. He was ordained in 1984 as evangelist where he was sent out nationally. In 1991 he received the vision to begin a work in Bear, Delaware .In the vision, the Lord showed him an army of soldiers praying and the powers of the enemy falling. He began Prayer and the Word Ministries. The Lord established him as an end-time prayer warrior where the Lord has used him to establish many churches in the nation in the foundation of prayer. Bishop Reynolds has written three books on prayer:“Building yourselves through prayer”, “Praying when you see nothing” and lastly “pray and not faint”. Bishop Reynolds believes that prayer is the key to the life of every believer and the fuel that drives the ministry. Prayer is the strength of every church and the health of every pastor. His desire is that the body of Christ will take advantage of the privilege of praying like never before.

Psalms 111:1- “Praise ye the lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.” We are fire dancers anointed to praise God through dance, giving whole-hearted worship unto the Lord through movement.

Anything the pastor needs, the pastor’s aide is there to ensure he gets it.  Their goal is to ensure there is no lack for the pastor or his direct family members, including his spouse and children.  If the pastor needs anything during his sermons, such as water, juice or mints, the committee ensures that these items are on hand and made available to the pastor.  Whenever a guest minister comes to speak at the church, the pastor’s aide is responsible for anticipating his needs.  For this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing. Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; Romans 13:6-7

Janice & Milton Alexander

The youth ministry is facilitated by our youth pastors, Milton and Janice Alexander. The goal of the ministry is to cultivate young people who are on fire for God and to Reach Every Soul Together (R.E.S.T).

A church usher is a person who helps ensure a smoothly running church service and who ministers to people in a variety of ways.  The some responsibilities of an usher include greeting people as they arrive for the service, assisting people with special needs, and making them feel welcomed.  The heart of an usher is the heart of a servant, and he does his work for his Lord Jesus.  A church usher has a true love for the people of the church and a desire to promote an atmosphere of reverence and worship in the house of God.  “I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked Psalm 84:10”

Proverbs 11:30 “.. and he that winneth souls is wise”. Our primary purpose is saving the lost at any cost. This is done in several ways, including going out into nearby neighborhoods, parks, and even a methadone clinic where a diverse group of people can be reached. When we do come into contact with various people, we not only encourage and lift them with prayers, but also speak about Jesus and minister the gospel. We help the needy and give hope to the hopeless. We are founded on prayer and the word. Eventually we seek for the church not just to be filled, but for it to be filled with people who are seeking Gods face.
